Welcome Volunteers

WHAT VOLUNTEERS SAY

"When you see the 'light' come on in their eyes, and their confidence level increasing, you are blessed even more than the blessings you are giving."

Volunteer Areas of Service

CJC has volunteer opportunities in all service areas. At the forefront is PRAYER. Please pray for our participants, our volunteers, and our program. CJC would also ask that you pray, asking God how you can join us as a volunteer. CJC would also like to invite you to CJC's Prayer Team Gatherings. Check out the CJC Calendar to see when the next gathering is.

Additional Volunteer service areas are:

Mentoring: Offering spiritual encouragement, guidance, and friendship to a participant. This is a long-term commitment and requires training provided by CJC.

Hospitality: Provide a meal or snacks, during your selected pre-planned time during our spring or fall semester. You may also choose to host a Celebration for Participants who meet their goals.

Receptionist: Greets and directs  those coming in and handles phone calls and messages. May be required to assist with Volunteer Management and Class Attendance. Also helps in the Library.

Instructors: Share your expertise with our participants. CJC offers curriculum in various subjects.  If you'd like to teach a curriculum that CJC does not currently have, contact the CJC Site Coordinator.  All instructors and curriculum must be pre-approved.

Facility Maintenance: 79% of all income goes straight into ministering to Participants. All the cleaning and maintenance is done by volunteers.

Depending on your experience and skill set, apply to join an Advisory Council Subcommittee, the Business Partner Panel or the Community Resource Panel.
